The Romanian version at sofermentor.ro/privacy-policy is the authoritative one for users in Romania and covers the driving-school service in full.

1. Who we are

ȘoferMentor is a mobile learning app for driving theory preparation, operated by ȘoferMentor. For privacy questions, contact us at salut@sofermentor.ro.

2. Data we collect

Website analytics and attribution. sofermentor.ro uses no cookies; its page analytics store nothing on your device. Only if you accept the site's privacy bar do we keep a random code and the campaign you arrived from (utm_*, gclid, fbclid) in your browser's local storage, and pass them to the app when you start signing up, so we can tell which pages and campaigns lead to sign-ups. You can change your choice at any time from "Setări confidențialitate" at the bottom of every page; refusing removes what was stored. In the apps we measure usage (screens and actions) with Mixpanel, hosted in the EU; the mobile app also records screen sessions, with screens holding private data masked.

Emails about getting your licence (only if you subscribe). If you subscribe on the website, we keep your email address, optionally your birth month and year, the page you subscribed from and, if you accepted the privacy bar, the random code and campaign above. We use them to send the emails you asked for: at most four, then one on the day you can enrol if you gave your birth month. Nothing is sent until you confirm your address from the first email, and the emails stop if you create an account with the same address. The legal basis is your consent, which you withdraw with the unsubscribe link in every email. After you unsubscribe we keep only the address and the date, as a record of your choice and so we do not write to you again.

3. How we use Google user data

Google user data is used only for sign-in, user identification, and personalized app experience. We do not use Google user data for advertising, resale, or external profiling.

4. How we use Facebook / Meta Platform data

When you choose Facebook Login, Meta may share with ȘoferMentor the information associated with the permissions you grant. For Facebook Login we request:

We use Facebook / Meta Platform data only to authenticate you and operate your ȘoferMentor account. We do not sell this data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it for external profiling. We do not request access to your Facebook friends list or other unrelated Facebook data.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We do not transfer Google or Facebook / Meta user data to third parties, except technical processors required for hosting, security, and app operations, under contractual safeguards.

6. Data retention and deletion

Data is retained while your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can request account and data deletion using our data deletion instructions or by email at salut@sofermentor.ro. You may also remove the app’s access to your Facebook data in your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites).

7. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS connections, access controls, and monitoring to prevent unauthorized access.

8. Policy updates

We may update this policy periodically. The current version is always published on this page with the last updated date.
